A countdown timer web part for SharePoint
You want a live countdown to something on the intranet. A company kickoff, a go-live, a deadline. Days, hours, minutes and seconds, ticking down. Here is a web part for it.
There is no list to set up. You give it an event name and a date and time, and it counts down. Enter the date in a form the browser understands, for example 2026-12-31T18:00.
In the property pane you set the Event name, the Date and time, a layout, and the unit colours, so each block for days, hours, minutes and seconds can take its own colour.
Event Countdown is part of my open source SPFx Intranet Suite, a set of web parts for a modern SharePoint intranet. Install the package once and it shows up in the toolbox under Intranet Suite.
